Signature Streetscapes has in-house capabilities to print full color UV resistant vinyl. Our wide format thermal printers produce high quality exterior grade vinyl signs that are rated for a minimum of 5 years of outdoor use. See below for more information on the type of substrates we use to create your custom signs.
STEP 1: Choose a Size and Substrate
Your size needs will help you to narrow down what type of substrate you can use. Our standard Aluminum blanks come in limited sizes and shapes while our Max Metal aluminum signs can be any shape imaginable at a size up to 4 feet by 8 feet.
Standard Aluminum Blanks
Standard aluminum sign blanks come in standard stock shapes and sizes with set rounded corner radiuses. They are used for our pre designed traffic and street signs as well as custom community signs. The standard shapes include octagon (stop sign), rectangle, square, triangle (yield) and diamond. Standard blanks are .080” thick and have predrilled holes for mounting. Size can be determined based on the shape you choose.

Max Metal
MAXMETAL is an aluminum composite material composed of two, pre-painted .15mm aluminum panels bonded to a solid polyethylene core. It’s lighter in weight and more durable than both MDO and solid aluminum panels, plus it resists scratching and denting better than wood panels. Max metal material comes in 0.125” and 0.25” thicknesses and can be cut to any shape at sizes up to 4’ x 8’. The versatility of this material is ideal for large entrance signs as well as custom shaped community signs.
STEP 2: Choose Reflective or Non-Reflective Vinyl Sheeting
Reflective Vinyl
Reflective vinyl provides higher visibility for night drivers and is a requirement for some traffic signs, street-name signs and parking signs. We offer two types of reflective materials, both meet Federal MUTCD standards.
Reflective Vinyl Options
3M HIP HIGH INTENSITY PRISMATIC: Meets middle grade performance standards and ASTM D4956 Type IV. Used for reflective traffic and road signs. Performance warranted for up to 10 years.
DG - DIAMOND GRADE TM DG3: Meets ASTM D4956 Type XI. Reflects almost 2x the amount of light back to its source as High Intensity Prismatic sheeting. Performance warranted for up to 12 years.
Non-Reflective Vinyl
Non-Reflective vinyl sheeting is perfect for property signs, wayfinding signs, community signs and entrance signs that don’t require or desire reflectivity. Most of our non-reflective sign customers choose non-reflective to achieve a crisp print with a smooth, consistent texture.

STEP 3: Choose Design or Provide Details
Choose from pre-designed traffic or community signs or our artists can provide a custom design based on the branding and information you provide. The best information to send the design team is a photo example of what you like, email a simple sketch or written description of what you have in mind. If you have a logo file that you’d like to include in the design, please email a vector file or a high quality image. The Signature Streetscapes in-house design staff will create a design proof for you to review and approve before production.
